Afro Alpine Pharma Limited (AAPL) is a private limited company incorporated in Uganda with a mission to with a mission to enable Uganda to produce world standard, locally grown, affordable anti-malarial treatments, for distribution in the local, regional and international markets within Africa.

Our project is simple. We want to restock Africa and Uganda with a malaria medicine that works and is affordable. Our aim is to make Uganda the centre of activity for Anti-Malarial treatments.

AAPL is promoting the cultivation of Artemisia Annua in the Kabale region using out growers and also in its nucleus farms. Our extraction factory is already in production in Kabale, to extract Artemisinin from the dry leaves of Artemisia. AAPL have signed a three year agreement to supply Artemisinin to CIPLA, one of the four companies qualified by WHO to manufacture ACT.
